The Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries is possibly the only ministry in the world that has so many courses for people to do after doing the basic pastoral course. For example, in Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, the terminal course for you to become a pastor is the School of Ministry.

Sir, is there any particular testimony related to the Ministry that you can never forget?

I shared this the day we were celebrating our church’s anniversary. I said, my salary was 250 Naira and I was called upon to come and buy a land of 120,000 Naira. 500 times more than my salary. So, this woman (of blessed memory now) just brought exactly that amount. I couldn’t sleep. And it was a big testimony.

A few years back, you told us about receiving the blueprints for this ministry from God. Sir, have all the boxes been ticked for the visions you received? Or is there still work to be done? Only a quarter has been ticked. There is still more work to do. The MFM you see now is just warming up. So, I see plenty of work to do.

Sir, we have heard a lot of people say that in their sleep they saw Dr Olukoya. When you listen to these kinds of testimonies, how does it make you feel?

It is not me they see. It is the angel of God. How can I divide myself into groups? So, it is angels of God they see. I have heard it so many times, too, that all of a sudden people would see my image. It is God advertising his power in this place. Since they don’t know who angels are, so, He uses a face they recognize to communicate and relate with them.

Sir, how has the ministry impacted the local community and beyond in tangible ways?

Fortunately, one of our major areas is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We do to community development not only in Nigeria but all over the world. Practically, where all MFM churches are, they do welfare services. They go to motherless babies’ homes. They go to orphanages. They go to homes of the disabled to cater for them and make them happy. During Christmas periods, our church visits them to sing to them and give them presents. We do that all over the world. We also go into the streets and cook for people. We do that all over the world. too. We do a lot of work to help the poor in Nigeria. We distribute food. We provide bore holes where there is no water and bring water to the people. We have assisted in building laboratories. We have built chapels. We have done all kinds of things to help people in the area of corporate social responsibility.

Sir, during musical concerts, we have heard you mention that it takes other ministries 50 years to catch up with the MFM music ministry. And by the time the camera moves amongst the crowd, you see a lot of people who are not MFM members, but are from other ministries, look in dismay, like, how is that possible? Can you explain what you mean when you say it will take other ministries 50 years to catch up with the music ministry we have in MFM?

I don’t know whether it is possible to even catch up with it now. We have a music conservatory; we have a lot of people in the orchestra team; we have a lot of people on the violin, on the organ and on the piano. We have a university that has a first- class music department, the Organ House. We have Acapella; we have an orchestra of genres of music. It will interest you to know that MFM orchestra are not standing still; they keep going. So, let us assume that you start a church now and you want to catch up with MFM, where would you start? Is it the music conservatory that I am going to start with or the organist. Now, to the glory of God, we have brought an organ here. It is the only kind in the world. So, this place will soon become a tourist attraction to organists when we finish. So, when will others catch up? This church has the only organ that is available in Africa. I’m not even saying 50 years anymore. The truth is that it is no longer possible to catch up with the music ministry in MFM.

What has been the ministry’s contribution towards education and university development? Not just Mountain Top University but other sister universities?

Of course, you know, there was a time when we were giving scholarships. And we have students all over the place. We also have our campus fellowships all over the place. Universities invite us for programmes and we go. Sometimes when they need help, they consult us. We always try our best to help. We have helped so many Departments and some universities. We have built places for them to use, and so on and so forth.

A lot of people have said that Dr. Olukoya is a music composer. Some say he is an arranger. Some say he is a musician. To better put that, is it appropriate to refer to you as a musicologist, or just a composer? Also, please tell us about the inspiration behind most of the music works that you have composed.

The inspiration is the Holy Spirit. I did not study formal music or study music as a degree. It is the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
