Daughters of Zion 2023 conference:

There’s a driving force behind every man’s action – Pastor Shade Olukoya

The wife of the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Pastor (Dr.) Shade Olukoya, has asserted that “There is a driving force behind every man’s action.”Speaking on the theme, ‘Glory of God, Overshadow my Destiny’ at the annual Daughters of Zion Conference, held on Saturday, 19 and Sunday, 20 August 2023, Mrs Olukoya listed the forces that could affect destiny fulfilment to include:

The Holy Spirit: A positive force that can help you.

• The forces of darkness: They operate and succeed with your cooperation. They can come in the form of people’s inability to control one’s temperament. The devil cannot alter one’s destiny without one’s cooperation. The devil needs the heart, body and soul to operate in the lives of people to stop their destinies from being fulfilled.

Human Force (Romans 7:15-20): The most powerful force for destiny fulfilment is the human force (human being). According to her, “The glory of God coming upon your destiny means that you are encasing your destiny in the glory of God, who is the Maker and putting Him in charge.”

• When the Glory of God covers anything, the presence of God is there.

• When the Glory of God comes upon your destiny, it gives understanding.

• When the Glory of God comes upon your life, it means your destiny cannot be altered.

Noting that “Every person born into this world has a destiny to fulfil,” she defined destiny as:

1. Heaven’s predetermined plan to order the course of one’s life.

2. The purpose of God for one’s life.

3. Your pre-ordained road life.

4. Heaven’s package of information for one’s relevance.

5. The compass of a life.

Mummy G.O. wrapped up her exhortation for the first day, saying: “A purpose-driven person knows the purpose of God for their lives and they commit God in everything they do.” At the Youth Connect/Thanksgiving Service of Manifest 2023, held on Sunday, Pastor Olukoya, in her exhortation, titled: ‘My Miracle = Manifestation’, defined manifestation as unveiling, disclosure, taking off the mask/veil – a thing that can be confirmed by other people, not you alone. According to her, God is a God of manifestation – “The whole world, all of God’s creation, are waiting for you to manifest. There are people, whose destinies are tied to yours, waiting for you to manifest. Your divine manifestation must start, because it shall be said that those who mocked you before will be the first to honour you; you shall no longer be a beggar but a giver to others, you shall move from being derided by men to being highly favoured.”

Pastor Olukoya ended her exhortation with a task. Pieces of paper were passed around the congregation and they were told to get a pen, with which to write straight horizontally. After the exercise, she asked: “Does it look straight?” Next, they were asked to tear a portion of the paper and she asked: “Did you tear it gently, or harshly? Was it torn in equal halves? ”The last instruction was to squash the paper. Finally, she asked: “What came into your mind? Do you think of how you treat and handle people?” from the three exercises: She pointed out the following lessons

• You can’t make a straight line by yourself. You need the help of a ruler. You need the help of God to make your life straight.

• The way you handled the paper while tearing can be linked with our attitude to people or things of God.

• No matter how torn, rumpled, or squashed you are, whatever the state you are, God is ready to fix you, put you back together and straighten you. The two-day power-packed conference also had two other guests, award-winning author and filmmaker, Mrs. Opeyemi Akintunde, who spoke on All-Round Manifesting Woman and a communication expert, Mrs. Victoria Daramola, who spoke on Emotional Intelligence. The conference was brought to an end with a vote of thanks by the General Coordinator of the Daughters of Zion Committee, Sis. Blessing Okwuofu, who expressed appreciation to all the dignitaries who supported the success of the conference.
